El regeneration project of the Grand Canal presents an opportunity to connect previously separated neighborhoods, create recreational spaces, green areas, and a water collection and treatment zone for use in the project and its surroundings. Through an intensity analysis of the area, compatibilities for new activities and potential interventions to reinforce and complement others were identified.

The water treatment involves settling solids, equalization tanks, anoxic tanks, wetlands, aerated lagoons, and sand filters, as well as purification through specific algae and plants (eco-machine). This process provides the necessary water for the project and its surroundings.
